The Washington Wild Things take out the Evansville Otters with help from Kresky, 4-2

Ryan Kresky went 2-3 and hit a home run, sparking the Washington Wild Things (1-0) to a 4-2 victory over the Evansville Otters (0-1) on Saturday at Bosse Field.

He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Zac Fuesser picked up the win for the Washington Wild Things. Fuesser allowed two earned runs, four hits and one walk while striking out four over 8 1/3 innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Evansville Otters' Preston Olson dominated the Washington Wild Things' batters, giving up two runs and striking out seven.

Jeremy Nowak racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Evansville Otters. He singled in the seventh inning and homered in the ninth inning.

Olson couldn't get it done on the mound for the Evansville Otters, taking a loss.
