An awesome effort by Seth Webster carried the Schaumburg Boomers (1-0) to a 1-0 win over the Lake Erie Crushers (0-1) on Saturday at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium.

Webster struck out 13, paving the way for a the Schaumburg Boomers win. The Schaumburg Boomers' pitcher gave up just two hits over nine shutout innings.

Connor Whalen couldn't get it done on the hill for the Lake Erie Crushers, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed one run.
