Keegan Gaskell carried the Nova Scotia (3-3) to a 4-3 victory over the New Brunswick on Sunday at Parc de lEst with a strong game at the plate and on the rubber.

Gaskell had two extra-base hits for the Nova Scotia. He doubled in the fourth and fifth innings.

Gaskell kept contact to a minimum, striking out six the New Brunswick (2-4) batters. Gaskell allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk over seven innings.

The New Brunswick had the lead early, but couldn't hold off the Nova Scotia. The New Brunswick were up until the fifth inning, but the Nova Scotia had other plans for the final outcome, taking the lead back on a two-run double by Gaskell.

Despite the loss, the New Brunswick's Jake Cook dominated the Nova Scotia's batters, giving up zero runs and striking out eight.

Michael McKay was hot from the plate for the New Brunswick. McKay went 2-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the first and third innings.

Ryan Doyle (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
