An awesome effort by Alex Young lifted the Falmouth Commodores (3-0) to a 3-1 win over the Cotuit Kettleers on Sunday at Arnie Allen Diamond.

Young got the win for the Falmouth Commodores thanks to eight strikeouts. Young allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk over eight innings.

Matthew Eureste racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Falmouth Commodores. He homered in the second inning.

The Falmouth Commodores couldn't get anything going as long as Luke Leftwich was pitching. The Falmouth Commodores managed just one hit off of Leftwich, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Logan James ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked five, struck out six, and allowed three runs.
