The Cotuit Kettleers (2-1) and the Bourne Braves (1-2) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Cotuit Kettleers that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 4-2 win at Doran Park.

Adam Whitt pitched lights out for the Cotuit Kettleers. Whitt held the Bourne Braves hitless over 2 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

Andrew Sopko brought the heat against the Cotuit Kettleers during his outing. The Cotuit Kettleers managed just two hits off of Sopko, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Jake Harper improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Cotuit Kettleers. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered six hits.

Josh Rogers (0-1) took the loss for the Bourne Braves. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
