A walk-off single from Matthew Haskins brought home the winning run for the Top Speed Baseball (46-9) in an 8-7 victory over the Healdsburg Prune Packers at St. Marys College on Saturday.
Haskins racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Top Speed Baseball. He singled in the fifth and ninth innings.
Scott Mitchell got on base four times in the game for the Top Speed Baseball. He singled in the first and fifth innings.
Kyer Vega brought the heat against the Healdsburg Prune Packers (36-19) during his outing. The Healdsburg Prune Packers managed just two hits off of the the Top Speed Baseball's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out seven during his four innings of work.
Michael Slifer recorded his sixth win of the year for the Top Speed Baseball. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.
Anthony Bender was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
