Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Friday as the Alameda Merchants (26-23) outscored the Top Speed Baseball (44-9) 11-9.

The two teams combined for 25 hits in the game.

Michael Echavia racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Alameda Merchants. He singled in the third inning and homered in the fourth inning.

Scott Mitchell put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Top Speed Baseball. He homered in the second inning and doubled in the fourth inning.

Andrew Herrera recorded his third win for the Alameda Merchants even though he allowed six runs over five innings. Herrera struck out none, walked three and gave up eight hits.

Joey Lucchesi couldn't get it done on the mound for the Top Speed Baseball, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in two innings, walked one and struck out three.
