The Bourne Braves (15-8) beat the Wareham Gatemen (7-16) 8-5 on Monday at Doran Park behind Zander Wiel, who went 2-3 and hit a home run.
He singled in the second inning and homered in the sixth inning.The Bourne Braves got the win thanks in large part to Ryan Kellogg's dominant, six-strikeout performance. Kellogg allowed one earned run on six hits and one walk over seven innings.
Kramer Robertson paced the Wareham Gatemen at the plate. Robertson went 3-4, drove in one and scored three runs. He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the first and eighth innings.
Brock Downey (0-2) took the loss for the Wareham Gatemen. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked none and struck out three.
