Nicole Luchanski went 4-4 at the plate as the Alberta (3-0) took home a 6-1 victory over the Qu��bec (2-1) in seven innings at Whalley Athletic Park on Saturday.

He tripled in the first inning, homered in the fifth inning, and singled in the second and sixth innings.

The Alberta relied on Samantha Ostrom to eat up innings en route to the win. Ostrom pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out five.

Daphnee Gelinas was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
