The Host (1-0) pounded the Saskatchewan (0-1) on Thursday 10-4 at Julien Morin in seven innings.

Gabriel Cote improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Host. He allowed one run over 2 1/3 innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Devin Gavigan-Hosaluk couldn't get it done on the mound for the Saskatchewan, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed four runs.

The Host easily handled the Saskatchewan pitching as six hitters combined for 12 hits, 10 RBIs and nine runs scored.
