The Lake Erie Crushers (21-20) blew out the Rockford Aviators (19-20) 10-2 on Thursday at Aviator Stadium after pouring on seven runs in the fifth inning.
The Lake Erie Crushers scored in the fifth on a fielder's choice, a passed ball, a groundout by Vincent Mejia, a two-run triple by Adam Ford, an RBI single by Ryan Hutchison, and an RBI single by Juan Sanchez.
Joey Burney did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Lake Erie Crushers, reaching base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the third inning.
Edgar Corcino had a busy day at the plate, collecting three extra-base hits. He homered in the fourth inning and doubled in the first and sixth innings.
