Danny Mahoney was cold coming off the bench, but Mahoney warmed up quickly as Mahoney stroked a key pinch-hit single in the three to lead the Vaughan (3-0) to a 10-6 win over the Alberta (1-2) on Friday at BBoys Vaughan Grove one.

With the score tied at three in the third inning, Mahoney came to the plate and singled.

Mahoney reached base three times in the game for the Vaughan. He scored two runs and had one RBI.

Ryan Kula had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He tripled in the first and seventh innings.

It was a good day at the plate for the Alberta's Daniel Donnelly. Donnelly went 2-2 and scored two runs. He singled in the third and sixth innings.

Vaughn Lucyk got his first win for the Vaughan despite allowing five runs over three innings. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered six hits.

Logan Cameron (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked two and struck out three.
