A three-run single by Jaden Shewchuk and a two-run single by Devon Farrell in the first inning and an error and a groundout by Jordan Frey during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Saskatchewan.Jared Binsfeld racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Saskatchewan. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the fourth and fifth innings.
Trey Fortin was solid at the plate for the Manitoba. Fortin went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the fifth inning.
Chace Davidson recorded his first win for the Saskatchewan even though he allowed five runs over four innings. Davidson struck out four, walked two and gave up five hits.
Duncan Mortimer was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out none.
