The Springfield Sliders (4-21) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 3-2 to the Danville Dans (16-11) on Thursday.

An error gave the Danville Dans the lead in the eighth inning.

Ronnie Jebavy had two extra-base hits for the Danville Dans. He tripled in the first inning.

Ben Braymer handled the Springfield Sliders' lineup with ease, racking up seven strikeouts. Braymer allowed one earned run, three hits and two walks over six innings.

Cam Wysocki improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Danville Dans. Wysocki struck out none, walked none and gave up one hit.

Geoff Boylston (0-3) took the loss for the Springfield Sliders. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed one run.
