The Seattle (WA) Studs (4-1) beat the NJCAA National Team (4-1) 3-1 on Thursday at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium behind Bobby LeCount, who went 1-3.

The NJCAA National Team couldn't get anything going as long as Michael Wood was pitching. Wood gave up just three hits, allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out two during his six innings of work.

Dom Thompson Williams did his best to jumpstart the offense for the NJCAA National Team, reaching base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the eighth inning.

Phillips Diehl ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
