The Mt. Hood cruise past the Clackamas, 11-1

The Mt. Hood (17-23) pounded the Clackamas (7-25) on Monday 11-1 at Mt. Hood in seven innings.

The Mt. Hood scored five runs in the fifth on an error, a groundout by Tommy Lane, a single by Louis Wolf, a two-run single by Michael Travers, a double by Logan Grindy, a single by Andrew Reichenbach, and a sacrifice fly by John Welborn.

Wolf was hot from the plate for the Mt. Hood. Wolf went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs.

Clint Burris picked up the win for the Mt. Hood. Burris pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk while striking out two.

Jake Herklotz had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the second and sixth innings.

Stephen Parker ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out two.
