Joe Piercey hopes every outing could go as well as Monday, as Piercey struck out eight batters to carry the Mt. Hood (17-23) to an 11-5 victory over the Clackamas (7-25) at Clackamas Community College Sof.

The Mt. Hood stamped out any hope for the Clackamas with four runs in the sixth.

John Welborn racked up two RBIs on four hits for the Mt. Hood. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the second, fourth, and sixth innings.

Jake Herklotz racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Clackamas. He homered in the ninth innings.

Stephen Parker (1-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked three and struck out three.
