Jackson Temple went 2-3, sparking the Douglas (5-9) to a 3-1 victory in seven innings over the Skagit Valley (6-11) on Monday at Skagit.
He singled in the second inning and doubled in the third inning.Matt Trimble picked up the win for the Douglas. Trimble allowed one earned run, four hits and three walks while striking out three over seven innings of work.
Despite the loss, the Skagit Valley's JAVIER VILLANUEVA dominated the Douglas' batters, giving up three runs and striking out six.
VILLANUEVA was charged with his second loss of the year.
