Bladel hits and pitches the Trinidad Triggers to 13-4 victory

Johnny Bladel carried the Trinidad Triggers (23-19) to a 13-4 victory over the Alpine Cowboys on Sunday at Central Park with a strong game at the plate and on the rubber.

Bladel racked up five RBIs on four hits for the Trinidad Triggers. He doubled in the fourth inning, homered in the fifth inning, and singled in the second and eighth innings.

Bladel struck out seven hitters en route to the the Trinidad Triggers win. Bladel allowed one earned run on eight hits and two walks over seven innings.

The Trinidad Triggers blew out the Alpine Cowboys (32-17) thanks to 20 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Trinidad Triggers scored four runs in the sixth on the Trinidad Triggers scored in the sixth on a solo home run by K.C. Judge, a two-run home run by Blake May, and a passed ball.

Casanova Donaldson got on base three times in the game for the Alpine Cowboys. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Anthony Figliola was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out two.

The Trinidad Triggers hammered the Alpine Cowboys pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 16 hits, nine RBIs and 11 runs scored.
