Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Monday as the Trinidad Triggers (9-9) outscored the Las Vegas Train Robbers (7-14) 9-8.
The teams totaled 24 hits in the game.
Jamie McMillan put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Trinidad Triggers. He singled in the first and fifth innings and doubled in the third and ninth innings.
Zach Leitten put together a nice outing. Leitten held the Las Vegas Train Robbers hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out three.
Kyal Williams went a perfect 4-4 at the plate for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings and homered in the seventh inning.
Olsen ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
Jeffrey Lucero, McMillan and Johnny Bladel helped lead the Trinidad Triggers. They combined for six hits and three RBIs.
