Koenig's two-run blast propels the Top Speed Baseball past the Auburn Wildcats, 8-7

Five first-inning runs helped the Top Speed Baseball (19-3) to an 8-7 win over the Auburn Wildcats at Alberts Park on Wednesday.

The Top Speed Baseball scored in the first on a two-run home run by Wes Koenig, an RBI double by Cole Gleason, an RBI single by Ridge Hoopii-Haslam, and an error.

Koenig racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Top Speed Baseball.

Logan Truex had an impressive outing against the Auburn Wildcats' lineup. Truex held the Auburn Wildcats hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Simonton racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Auburn Wildcats. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Daniel Edmondo recorded his first win of the year for the Top Speed Baseball. He allowed one run over 1 1/3 innings. Edmondo struck out two, walked none and gave up two hits.

Martin ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed eight runs in eight innings, walked six and struck out three.
