The Auburn Wildcats jumped on the Sacramento Heat (11-14) early on their way to a 9-6 win on Wednesday at Sacramento St., scoring three runs in the first inning.

The Auburn Wildcats scored in the first on an RBI single by David Campbell, an RBI single by Campbell, a groundout by Gerrad Rohan, and a groundout by Brad Young.

Rohan racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Auburn Wildcats.

Ryan Locke had a hot bat for the Sacramento Heat. Locke went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the sixth inning and tripled in the eighth inning.

Alex Perez recorded his first win of the year for the Auburn Wildcats. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Danny Mayer (1-2) took the loss for the Sacramento Heat. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked two and struck out two.
