The California Warriors (21-11) pounded the Healdsburg Prune Packers (19-12) on Monday 8-2 at Recreation Park.

A two-run single by Brooks Leandro-Farr and a two-run single by Jamal Clarke helped the California Warriors score four runs in the first. The California Warriors had three hits in the inning.

Cameron Merriwether paced the California Warriors at the plate. Merriwether went 4-5, drove in one and scored three runs. He singled in the first, fourth, fifth, and seventh innings.

Mateo Fernandez improved to 4-1 on the year by picking up the win for the California Warriors. He allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out seven, walked two and surrendered six hits.

Vijay Patel was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
