The Atwater Aviators (3-6) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Marysville Goldsox, recording a 13-2 victory on Sunday at Appeal-Democrat Park.

With eight runs in the first three innings, the Atwater Aviators left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI double by Matthew Farias and a sacrifice fly by Evan Mason in the first inning and an error, , , a single by Donnie Bradley, a double by Christian Kahler, a double by Farias, and during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Atwater Aviators.

The Marysville Goldsox couldn't slow down Farias, who paced the Atwater Aviators with five hits.

The Atwater Aviators relied on Kyle Treadway to eat up innings en route to the win. Treadway pitched nine innings and allowed two earned runs, 10 hits and one walk while striking out one.

Gusler was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out none.
