Geoff DeGroot went 1-2, sparking the Orleans Firebirds (24-18) to a 4-0 victory in six innings over the Chatham Anglers (17-26) on Sunday at Veterans Field.

The Orleans Firebirds got the win thanks in large part to Kyle Twomey's dominant, four-strikeout performance. The Orleans Firebirds' pitcher gave up just four hits over four shutout innings.

Garrett Williams ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
