Early lead gives the Hyannis Harbor Hawks easy victory over the Falmouth Commodores, 10-0

The Hyannis Harbor Hawks (19-23) shut the door early on the Falmouth Commodores (24-17), capturing a 10-0 victory on Friday at Arnie Allen Diamond.

With five runs in the first three innings, the Hyannis Harbor Hawks left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI single by John La Prise during the first inning helped the Hyannis Harbor Hawks put some runs on the board early.

Daniel Kihle reached base four times in the game for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. He scored four runs and had two RBIs. He singled in the third and sixth innings.

Matt LaRocca pitched lights out for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. LaRocca held the Falmouth Commodores hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.

Kevin Mooney put together a nice outing. The Hyannis Harbor Hawks managed just one hit off of Mooney, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his two innings of work.

Shaefer Shepard got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out one, walked three and surrendered four hits.

Charles Mulholland couldn't get it done on the hill for the Falmouth Commodores, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked three and struck out four.
