The Falmouth Commodores (24-16) blew out the Wareham Gatemen 11-2 on Thursday at Arnie Allen Diamond after pouring on six runs in the seventh inning.
The Falmouth Commodores scored in the seventh on an RBI single by Conner Hale, a two-run triple by Boomer White, an RBI single by Jake Madsen, a single by Sam Gillikin, and a two-run single by Trever Morrison.
Nicholas Ramos had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the seventh and eighth innings.
The Falmouth Commodores got the win thanks in large part to Alex Young's dominant, 10-strikeout performance. Young allowed one earned run on five hits and one walk over seven innings.
Kyle Cody (2-3) took the loss for the Wareham Gatemen (13-26). He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
