Jimmy Herget kept the Orleans Firebirds (24-18) off the board during his six innings of work and the Bourne Braves (27-15) beat the Orleans Firebirds, 6-2.

Herget struck out seven and allowed two walks and one hit.

Blake Davey paced the Bourne Braves at the plate. Davey went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the third inning and singled in the sixth inning.

RJ Ybarra was hot from the plate for the Orleans Firebirds. Ybarra went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Nathan Bannister couldn't get it done on the hill for the Orleans Firebirds, taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed one run.
