The Wareham Gatemen outdone by Hale and the Falmouth Commodores, 7-5

Conner Hale had two extra base hits, helping the Falmouth Commodores (22-15) to a 7-5 victory over the Wareham Gatemen (12-25) on Saturday at Spillane Field.

He singled in the second and fifth innings and doubled in the third and ninth innings.

Travis Stout pitched lights out for the Falmouth Commodores. Stout held the Wareham Gatemen hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

Despite the loss, the Wareham Gatemen's Ryan Olson dominated the Falmouth Commodores' batters, giving up one run and striking out five.

Matt Hollenbeck got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Keaton Aldridge ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs.

The Falmouth Commodores were sparked by Boomer White and Matthew Eureste, who teamed up for nine hits and four RBIs.
