Brewster Whitecaps vs Falmouth Commodores: 3-7

The Falmouth Commodores take out the Brewster Whitecaps with help from Madsen, 7-3

Jake Madsen had two extra base hits as the Falmouth Commodores (20-15) took home a 7-3 victory over the Brewster Whitecaps (12-22) at Arnie Allen Diamond on Wednesday.

He singled in the second innings and doubled in the sixth and eighth innings.

Ryan Moseley had an impressive outing against the Brewster Whitecaps' lineup. The Brewster Whitecaps managed just one hit off of the the Falmouth Commodores' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Luke Lowery led the Brewster Whitecaps' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

The Falmouth Commodores had no answer for Joe McCarthy, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. McCarthy held the Falmouth Commodores hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Andrew Naderer ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed four runs.

Austin Afenir, Madsen and Conner Hale helped lead the Falmouth Commodores. They combined for six hits and seven RBIs.
