Andrew Stevenson had two extra base hits, helping the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (18-14) to a 5-2 victory over the Chatham Anglers (14-17) on Saturday at Veterans Field.
He singled in the first inning and doubled in the second and ninth innings.Walker Buehler kept contact to a minimum, striking out five the Chatham Anglers batters. Buehler allowed no earned runs, six hits and two walks over five innings.
Charlie Dant ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
