John Sansone had two extra base hits as the Brewster Whitecaps (12-20) took home a 5-4 victory over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (13-19) at Stony Brook on Saturday.
He doubled in the seventh inning and homered in the ninth inning.Levi MaVorhis put together a nice outing. The Hyannis Harbor Hawks managed just two hits off of MaVorhis, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his three innings of work.
The Hyannis Harbor Hawks were led by Daniel Kihle's hitting. Kihle went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the third innings and singled in the first and fifth innings.
Tate Scioneaux allowed one earned run, six hits and no walks while striking out four over six innings of work.
Pat Ruotolo improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Brewster Whitecaps. He allowed two runs over one inning. Ruotolo struck out none, walked one and gave up two hits.
Ian Gibaut couldn't get it done on the bump for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
