Wiel's walk-off double send the Bourne Braves home winners, 5-4

A walk-off double from Zander Wiel brought home the winning run for the Bourne Braves (20-11) in a 5-4 victory over the Harwich Mariners at Doran Park on Friday.

Wiel racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Bourne Braves. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the ninth inning.

Billy Fleming paced the Bourne Braves at the plate. Fleming went 3-4 and drove in one. He singled in the first and second innings and doubled in the seventh inning.

Josh Rogers brought the heat against the Harwich Mariners (18-11) during his outing. The Harwich Mariners managed just three hits off of the the Bourne Braves' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out one during his five innings of work.

Matt Gonzalez racked up two RBIs on four hits for the Harwich Mariners. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third, eighth, and ninth innings.

Joey Strain recorded his first win of the year for the Bourne Braves. He allowed two runs over 1 1/3 innings. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered three hits.

Ray Castillo ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
