Both the Bourne Braves (17-9) and the Chatham Anglers (12-13) put runners aboard on Friday, but it was the Bourne Braves that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 7-4 win at Veterans Field.
It was a good day at the plate for the Bourne Braves' Blake Allemand. Allemand went 2-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the sixth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.
Robert Baldwin was hot from the plate for the Chatham Anglers. Baldwin went 3-4. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth and sixth innings.
Josh Rogers improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Bourne Braves. He allowed one run over 6 2/3 innings. Rogers struck out two, walked four and gave up 10 hits.
Zac Gallen ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
