The Cotuit Kettleers (11-12) and the Bourne Braves (15-9) both had scoring chances on Tuesday, but it was the Cotuit Kettleers that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 9-5 win at Lowell Park.
John Norwood racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Cotuit Kettleers. He singled in the third inning and homered in the eighth inning.
Adam Whitt brought the heat against the Bourne Braves during his outing. The Bourne Braves managed just three hits off of the the Cotuit Kettleers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his three innings of work.
Despite the loss, the Bourne Braves' Jimmy Herget dominated the Cotuit Kettleers' batters, giving up three runs and striking out eight.
Dylan Nelson (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
