David Thompson went 2-3, sparking the Orleans Firebirds (12-9) to a 3-1 victory over the Harwich Mariners (13-8) on Saturday at Whitehouse Field.

A bright spot for the Harwich Mariners in the defeat was Jacob Evans, who allowed only zero runs while striking out six.
Jason Inghram ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
