Wade Wass hit two home runs to carry the Brewster Whitecaps (8-11) to a 12-5 win over the Wareham Gatemen (6-13) at Stony Brook.

Wass racked up nine RBIs on three hits for the Brewster Whitecaps. He doubled in the fifth inning and homered in the third and eighth innings.

The Brewster Whitecaps stamped out any hope for the Wareham Gatemen with four runs in the eighth.

Cody Ponce improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Brewster Whitecaps. He allowed four runs over five innings. Ponce struck out five, walked three and gave up four hits.

Brock Hartson (1-2) took the loss for the Wareham Gatemen. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
