Jake Fincher went 1-2, helping the Cotuit Kettleers (8-8) to a 3-1 victory over the Harwich Mariners (11-5) on Saturday at Lowell Park.
He tripled in the sixth inning.Adam Whitt put together a nice outing. The Harwich Mariners managed just one hit off of Whitt, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out seven during his 2 2/3 innings of work.
Despite the loss, the Harwich Mariners' Zack Erwin dominated the Cotuit Kettleers' batters, giving up two runs and striking out five.
Brendon Sanger was hot from the plate for the Harwich Mariners. Sanger went 3-4 and drove in one. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the seventh and ninth innings.
Logan James recorded his first win of the year for the Cotuit Kettleers. He allowed one run over five innings. James struck out six, walked two and gave up three hits.
Erwin was charged with his first loss of the year.
