The Bourne Braves (11-4) took down the Brewster Whitecaps (6-9) 8-2 on Friday at Doran Park after slamming the Brewster Whitecaps with six runs in the third inning.

The Bourne Braves scored in the third on an RBI double by Billy Fleming, an RBI single by Harrison Bader, an RBI single by Brett Sullivan, an RBI single by Blake Allemand, and a two-run single by Allemand.

The Bourne Braves were led by Sullivan's hitting. Sullivan went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run.

Josh Rogers pitched lights out for the Bourne Braves. The Brewster Whitecaps managed just three hits off of Rogers, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his five innings of work.

Pat Ruotolo brought the heat against the Bourne Braves during his outing. Ruotolo gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his four innings of work.

Levi MaVorhis ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in two innings, walked two and struck out two.
