Cody Ponce kept the Cotuit Kettleers (6-8) off the board during his six innings of work and the Brewster Whitecaps (6-8) beat the Cotuit Kettleers, 8-0.

Ponce struck out three and allowed no walks and two hits.

The Brewster Whitecaps scored in the second on a single by Justin Montemayor, a sacrifice fly by Kevin Martir, a single by Georgie Salem, an RBI single by Josh Vidales, an RBI single by Bradon Bishop, an RBI single by Travis Maezes, a groundout by Wade Wass, and a triple by Gio Brusa.

Brusa racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Brewster Whitecaps.

Sam Tewes couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Cotuit Kettleers, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked none and struck out none.
