Early lead not enough for the Wareham Gatemen, drop 4-2 decision to the Chatham Anglers

The Wareham Gatemen (4-8) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 4-2 to the Chatham Anglers (5-6) on Sunday.

An error gave the Chatham Anglers the lead in the fifth inning.

Ty Moore had a hot bat for the Chatham Anglers. Moore went 2-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Charlie Dant pitched lights out for the Chatham Anglers. The Wareham Gatemen managed just one hit off of the the Chatham Anglers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his four innings of work.

Andrew Zapata had an impressive outing against the Chatham Anglers' lineup. The Chatham Anglers managed just one hit off of Zapata, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Myles Gentry was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
