The Falmouth Commodores (4-7) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 3-1 ballgame against the Harwich Mariners (9-3) on Sunday at Arnie Allen Diamond.

A sacrifice fly by Matt Gonzalez gave the Harwich Mariners the lead in the fourth inning.

Jared Poche improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Harwich Mariners. He allowed one run over five innings. He struck out six, walked one and surrendered seven hits.

Jared Price couldn't get it done on the mound for the Falmouth Commodores, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
