The Cotuit Kettleers (6-6) beat the Brewster Whitecaps (5-7) 7-4 in seven innings on Sunday at Lowell Park behind Ian Rice, who had two extra base hits.

Adam Whitt brought the heat against the Brewster Whitecaps during his outing. Whitt gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Dalton DiNatale racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Brewster Whitecaps. He singled in the second innings.

Joe McCarthy ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked two and struck out three.

Rice, Austin Byler and Brendan Hendriks helped lead the Cotuit Kettleers. They combined for five hits and five RBIs.
