David Fletcher went 3-3 at the plate, helping the Orleans Firebirds (3-4) to a 5-0 victory over the Brewster Whitecaps (3-4) on Wednesday at Eldredge Park.

Brett Lilek pitched lights out for the Orleans Firebirds. The Brewster Whitecaps managed just two hits off of the the Orleans Firebirds' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six during his four innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Brewster Whitecaps' Levi MaVorhis dominated the Orleans Firebirds' batters, giving up zero runs and striking out five.

Ryne Combs got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered no hits.

Dylan Silva (0-2) took the loss for the Brewster Whitecaps. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
