Richard Martin Jr went 2-3 as the Bourne Braves (4-1) took home a 4-3 victory over the Brewster Whitecaps (2-2) in seven innings at Stony Brook on Sunday.

Jake Long brought the heat against the Brewster Whitecaps during his outing. Long held the Brewster Whitecaps hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

Levi MaVorhis pitched lights out for the Brewster Whitecaps. The Bourne Braves managed just one hit off of MaVorhis, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his three innings of work.

Joe McCarthy was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
