The Cotuit Kettleers (2-2) and the Chatham Anglers (1-3) each put runners in scoring position on Sunday, but the Cotuit Kettleers capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 4-1 win at Veterans Field.
Casey Schroeder did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Cotuit Kettleers, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the third innings.
Adam Whitt brought the heat against the Chatham Anglers during his outing. Whitt held the Chatham Anglers hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none.
Tanner Scott was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Cotuit Kettleers batters and allowing two runs.
