The Wareham Gatemen (0-1) built an early edge on Wednesday, but the Bourne Braves (1-0) roared back to steal a 4-2 victory at Doran Park.

While the Wareham Gatemen led until the fourth inning, the Bourne Braves worked their way back and took the lead.

Blake Davey was solid at the plate for the Bourne Braves. Davey went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the fourth inning and tripled in the sixth inning.

Jimmy Herget picked up the win for the Bourne Braves. Herget pitched six innings and allowed two earned runs, six hits and one walk while striking out five.

Kyri Washington was solid at the plate for the Wareham Gatemen. Washington went 2-4. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Andrew Zapata (0-1) took the loss for the Wareham Gatemen. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
