The Nashua Silver Knights (26-21) scored three runs in the sixth to cap a 9-3 win over the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (25-22) on Friday.

The Nashua Silver Knights scored in the sixth on a hit by pitch and a two-run single by Matt Sanchez.

Sanchez racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Nashua Silver Knights.

Jake Mellin baffled the Marthas Vineyard Sharks, striking out nine batters. Mellin allowed two earned runs, six hits and two walks over 5 2/3 innings.

Carmen Giampetruzzi recorded his third win of the year for the Nashua Silver Knights. He allowed one run over 1 2/3 innings. Giampetruzzi struck out three, walked two and gave up no hits.

Tyler Hill was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
