The Nashua Silver Knights (5-6) beat the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide (3-9) 9-5 on Wednesday at The Ball Park behind Michael Pierson, who had two extra base hits.

He doubled in the third inning, singled in the fourth inning, and tripled in the sixth inning.

Sam Nepiarsky had an impressive outing against the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide's lineup. The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide managed just one hit off of Nepiarsky, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide were led by Rahiem Cooper's hitting. Cooper went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the fourth inning.
