The Marysville Goldsox continued to pile up the runs on Sunday, scoring three runs in the last three innings, on the way to a 17-1 landslide win over the Nevada Big Horns (8-31) at Appeal-Democrat Park.

The Marysville Goldsox scored four runs in the fourth on the Marysville Goldsox scored in the fourth on an RBI single by Olson, an RBI single by Shane Cody, and a two-run home run by Tyler Overboe.

Cody Ellenwood reached base four times. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the first and sixth innings.

Pitcher eight brought the heat against the Nevada Big Horns during his outing. The Nevada Big Horns managed just one hit off of eight, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his three innings of work.

Gusler improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Marysville Goldsox. He allowed one run over five innings. Gusler struck out four, walked two and gave up six hits.

Jake Chambers was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.

The Marysville Goldsox easily handled the Nevada Big Horns pitching as six hitters combined for 13 hits, eight RBIs and 13 runs scored.
